When should you spay/neuter your cat or dog?
Dogs and cats can be spayed and neutered at any age, but it is highly recommended to complete these procedures when they’re still puppies and kittens.
According to the ASPCA, dogs should be spayed and neutered between six to nine months of age. Cats should be spayed and neutered from as young as eight months of age.
What are things you can do to keep your pet healthy?
Making sure your pet is adequately cared for is key to their overall health and happiness. Make sure your pet is nourished, maintains a healthy weight, and gets enough exercise. Annual pet wellness exams, regular dental cleanings, and vaccinations are important. Spaying and neutering your dog or cat can also benefit their health.
What are signs of dehydration in dogs & cats?
Signs of dehydration in dogs and cats include:
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
Panting
Dry mouth & gums
Lack of skin elasticity
Some dogs and cats may experience diarrhea, vomiting, and sunken eyes. If your pet generally seems unwell, call us immediately to make an appointment.
